Spectrometers for Static and Dynamic SIMS
The
Hydrogen in aluminium analyser monitors hydrogen during
aluminium alloy processing operations done by a
quantitative reduced pressure technique. It is also used
for quality control and process investigation.
It is
simple to operate, reliable, mobile and robust. The
analyzer is ideal for assessing degassing agents, melt
treatments and identifying the sources of gas pick-up or
loss.

The solubility of
Hydrogen in molten aluminium is high. However,
hydrogen is fully released high when aluminium
solidieswhilst it solubility in the solid form
is very low. The eMPower HScan takes a 100gm.
sample bordering on “nil”. As a result dissolved
hydrogen is almost fully released when aluminium
solidifies. The HScan takes a 100 gm sample of
molten aluminium and measures the volume of
hydrogen released when the sample solidifies. |
